Step One - Patient Survey

This form inquires about your health history as well as symptoms you may be experiencing and will be attach to any recommendations sent to your physician.

Step Two

Saliva testing is a simple, reliable means of testing your hormone levels. Saliva hormone measurements may have an important advantage over serum blood draws for the following reasons:
• Saliva can be collected at precise times.
• The procedure is accurate.
• It is non-invasive and safe.
• The hormones collected in saliva represent those immediately available in the body’s cells.

Because hormones work together to create a balance it is important to test all of the following hormones: Estrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEAs and Cortisol. In our Comprehensive Hormone Profile we test your hormone levels and collect a blood spot sample to test TSH, free T3, free T4, and thyroid antibodies. The Comprehensive Profile is recommended for men and women with symptoms of menopause, andropause, adrenal fatigue, and low thyroid. The key to hormone balance is knowledge; saliva testing provides the knowledge required to create an individualize hormone replacement therapy to treat and relieve symptoms and restore hormone balance. 

Saliva hormone test kits can be purchased from Pensacola Apothecary and taken in the privacy of your home. Saliva test kits range in price from $120.00 - $325.00 depending on individual patient needs.

Step Three - Pharmacist Consultation

Your personal consultation can be scheduled in person or by phone. During your consultation with one of our highly trained pharmacists, your patient survey and hormone levels will be reviewed, as well as any other concerns you may have. In addition, our pharmacist will advise you on lifestyle modifications which include pharmaceutical grade vitamin supplements. We guarantee that your bio-identical hormone replacement therapy will be individually tailored to meet your body's specific needs.

Pharmacist consultations are $120 per hour. Follow up appointments are $75 per hour.

Step Four - Prescriptions

Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy requires a prescription from your healthcare provider. At Pensacola Apothecary, we work with your physician to customize your bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. If you do not have a healthcare provider we will be happy to recommend one to you.

Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy prescriptions range from $40.00 – $90.00 per month depending upon the prescription and dosage form.

Pensacola Apothecary does not bill insurance. However, we provide a universal claim form with your prescriptions and are happy to assist you with the proper paper work in seeking reimbursement for your compounded prescription.
